Chapter No: 61

Aishah (RA) said: "I was not jealous of any wife of the Prophet ﷺ as I was jealous of Khadijah (RA), and it was not because I did not see her. It was only because Allah’s Messenger ﷺ used to mention her so often, and because whenever he would slaughter a sheep, he would look for Khadijah's friends to give them some of it."


Aishah (RA) said: "I did not envy any woman as I envied Khadijah (RA)- and Allah’s Apostle ﷺ did not marry me except after she had died - that was because Allah’s Apostle ﷺ gave her glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of Qasab, without clamouring nor discomforts in it."


Narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The best of its (world’s) women is Khadijah bint Khuwailid (RA), and the best of its (world’s) women is Mariam bint Imran (RA)."


Narrated from Anas (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Sufficient for you among the women of mankind are Mariam bint 'Imran (AS), Khadijah bint Khuwailid (RA), Fatimah bint Muhammad (RA) and Asiyah (AS) the wife of Fir'awn."

Chapter No: 62

Aishah (RA) said: "The people would give their gifts to the Prophet ﷺ on 'Aishah's day." She said: "So my companions gathered with Umm Salamah (RA) and they said 'O Umm Salamah! The people give their gifts on Aishah's day, and we desire good as Aishah desires, so tell Allah’s Apostle ﷺ to command the people to give him (the gifts) wherever he is.' So Umm Salamah said that, and he turned away from her. Then he turned back to her, and she repeated the words saying: 'O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! My companions have mentioned that the people give their gifts on 'Aishah's day, so command the people to give them wherever you are.' So, upon the third time she said that, he said: 'O Umm Salamah! Do not bother me about 'Aishah! For Revelation has not been sent down upon me while I was under the blankets of a woman among you other than her.'"


Narrated from Aishah (RA) that Jibril (AS) came to the Prophet ﷺ with her image upon a piece of green silk cloth, and he said: "This is your wife in the world, and in the Hereafter."


Narrated from Aishah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "O 'Aishah! Here is Jibril (AS) and he is offering Salam to you." She said: "I said: 'And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings. You see that which we do not.'"


Aishah (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to me: 'Indeed Jibril (AS) offers Salam to you.' So I said: 'And upon him be peace and Allah's Mercy and His blessings.'"


Musa bin Talhah said: "I have not seen anyone more eloquent than Aishah (RA)."


Narrated from Amr bin Al-'As (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ appointed him as a leader of the army of Dhatis-Salasil. He said: "So I went to him and asked: 'O Apostle of Allah! ﷺ Who is the most beloved to you among the people?' He replied: ''Aishah (RA).' I asked: 'From the men?' He replied: 'Her father.'"


Narrated from Amr bin Al-'As (RA) that he asked Allah’s Apostle ﷺ: "Who is the most beloved of the people to you?" He replied: "'Aishah (RA)." He asked: "From the men?" He replied: "Her farther."


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The virtue of Aishah (RA) over women is like the virtue of Tharid over all other foods."


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The virtue of Aishah (RA) over women is like the virtue of Tharid over all other foods."


Narrated from Amr bin Ghalib that a man spoke negatively about Aishah (RA) in front of Ammar bin Yasir (RA), so he said: "Be gone as one despicable and rejected! Do you insult the beloved of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ?"


Ammar bin Yasir (RA) said: "She is his wife in the world and in the Hereafter." - meaning: Aishah (RA).

Chapter No: 63

Anas said: "It was asked: 'O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! Who is the most beloved of the people to you?' He said: ''Aishah (RA).' It was asked: 'From the men?' He said: 'Her father.'"


Ikrimah said: "After the morning Salah, it was informed to Ibn Abbas (RA) that so-and-so - one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ - has passed away, so he prostrated. So, it was asked from him: 'Do you prostrate at this hour?' So, he said: 'Has not Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'If you see a sign then prostrate?' Then which sign is bigger than the passing of (one of) the wives of the Prophet ﷺ?'"


Safiyyah bint Huyai (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ came to me while some words had reached me from Hafsah (RA) and Aishah (RA). So, I mentioned it to him. So, he said: 'Why did you not say: "And how are you better than me, while my husband is Muhammad ﷺ and my father is Harun (AS), and my uncle is Musa (AS)?" That which had reached her, was that they had said: "We are more honoured to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ than her," and that they said: "We are the wives of the Prophet ﷺ and his cousins."


Narrated from Umm Salamah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ summoned Fatimah (RA) in the Year of the Conquest and whispered to her, and she cried. Then he whispered to her, and she laughed. She said: "When Allah’s Apostle ﷺ died I asked her about her crying and her laughing. She said: ' Allah’s Apostle ﷺ told me that he would (soon) die, so I cried. Then, he told me that I was the master over all of the women among the inhabitants of Paradise, except for Mariam bint Imran (AS), so I laughed.'"


Anas said: "It reached Safiyyah (RA) that Hafsah (RA) said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she cried. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her while she was crying, so he asked: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'"


Narrated from Aishah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives, and when your companion dies, leave him alone."


Narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: " Let not anyone convey to me anything about one of my Sahabah, for, I like to go out to them while I am clean-hearted.” Abdullah narrated: “Once some property was brought to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ and he distributed it. I ended up with two men who were sitting and saying, ‘By Allah, Muhammad has no intention with this division to seek Allah’s pleasure or the home of the hereafter.’ I felt very bad about it when I heard them, so I came to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ and informed him of that. His face turned red, and he said, ‘Leave me alone. Indeed, Musa (AS) was annoyed more than this, yet he was patient.'"


Narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "No one should convey to me anything regarding anyone."

Chapter No: 64

Narrated from Ubayy bin Ka'b (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to him: "Indeed Allah has commanded me to recite the Qur'an to you." So he recited to him: "Those who disbelieved were not going to... (98:1) and he recited in it: "Indeed the religion with Allah is that which is Hanafiyyah, Muslim, not Judaism, nor Christianity, nor Zoroastrian, whoever does good then it shall not be rejected from him." And he recited to him: " If the son of Aadam has a valley full of wealth, he would crave for a second, and if he had a second, he would crave for a third. Nothing will fill the belly of the son of Aadam but dust. And Allah relents to one who repents."

Chapter No: 65

Tufail bin Ubayy bin Ka'b narrated from his father that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "If it were not for the Hijrah, I would be a man from the Ansar."


Narrated from Al-Bara bin 'Azib (RA) that he heard the Prophet ﷺ, or - he said: "The Prophet ﷺ said, about the Ansar: Only a believer loves them and only a hypocrite will hate them. He who loves them Allah will love him, and he who hates them Allah will hate him.” They asked him, “Did you hear it from Bara?” Adi said, “This is how he narrated (it)."


Narrated from Al-Bara bin 'Azib (RA) that he heard the Prophet ﷺ, or - he said: "The Prophet ﷺ said, about the Ansar: Only a believer loves them and only a hypocrite will hate them. He who loves them Allah will love him, and he who hates them Allah will hate him.” They asked him, “Did you hear it from Bara?” Adi said, “This is how he narrated (it)."


Zaid bin Arqam wrote to Anas bin Malik (RA), consoling him over those of his family and children of his paternal uncle who suffered on the day of Al-Harrah. So, he wrote to him: "I give you glad tidings of good news from Allah. I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ saying: 'O Allah forgive the Ansar and the children of the Ansar, and the children of their children."


Abu Talha (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to me: 'Convey my Salam to your people, for, I know them to be righteous and patient.'"


Narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed my confidants to whom I return are my family members and my close ones are the Ansar, so forgive those who do wrong from them and accept from those who do good from them."


Narrated from Sa'd that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "Whoever wishes to humiliate the Quraish then Allah will humiliate him."


Ibn Abbas (RA) said: "The Prophet ﷺ said to me: 'A man who believes in Allah and the Last Day does not hate the Ansar."


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The Ansar are my close ones and my confidants. Indeed, the people shall increase, and they shall decline, so accept from those who do good among them, and overlook those who do bad among them."


Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "O Allah! You caused the first of the Quraish to taste punishment, so let the last of them taste blessings."


Narrated from Anas (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "O Allah forgive the Ansar and the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar, and the women of the Ansar."

Chapter No: 66

Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "Shall I inform you of the best houses of the Ansar, or of the best of the Ansar?" They said: "Of course, O Apostle of Allah ﷺ!" He said: "Banu An-Najjar. Then those who come after them are Banu Abdul-Ashhal. Then those who come after them are Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj. Then those who come after them are Banu Sa'idah." Then he gestured with his hand, closing his fist and spreading open his fingers as though he threw something with his hand and he said: "And in all of the houses of the Ansar there is good."


Narrated from Abu Usaid As-Sa'idi that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The Best houses of the Ansar are the houses of Banu An-Najjar, then the house of Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal, then Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj, then Banu Sa'idah. And in all of the houses of the Ansar there is good." So Sa'd said: "I do not see except that the Prophet ﷺ has preferred everyone over us." So, it was said: "He preferred you over many."


Narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The best house of the Ansar is Banu An-Najjar."


Narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The best of the Ansar are Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal."

Chapter No: 67

Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) said: "We went out with Allah’s Apostle ﷺ until he was at Harrah As-Suqya which belonged to Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (RA). So, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'Bring me water for Wudu.' So, he made Wudu, then he faced the Qiblah and said: 'O Allah! Indeed, Ibrahim (AS) was Your servant and Your Khalil, and he supplicated for blessings for the people of Makkah. And I am Your servant and Apostle, and I supplicate for the people of Al-Madinah; that You bless them in their Mudd and their Sa' like You blessed the people of Makkah, with a blessing twice over."


Narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) and Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: " That which is between my house and my Minbar is a garden from the gardens of Paradise."


Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: " That which is between my house and my Minbar is a garden from the gardens of Paradise." And with this chain, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: "One Salah in this Masjid of mine is better than one thousand prayers in any other Masjid, except for Al-Masjid Al-Haram."


Narrated from Ibn Umar (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: " If anyone can die in Madinah, let him die there for, I will intercede for one who dies there."


One of the freed a slave girl of Ibn Umar (RA) came to him and said: "Times have become hard on me and I want to go to Al-'Iraq." He said: "Why not to Ash-Sham the land of the resurrection? Have patience you foolish lady; I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ say: 'Whoever endures its hardships and difficulties (Al-Madinah) then I will be a witness, or an intercessor for him on the Day of Judgement."


Narrated from Abu Hurairah that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: "The last of the cities of Islam to be destroyed is Al-Madinah."


Narrated from Jabir (RA) that a Bedouin swore allegiance to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ for Islam, then he was afflicted by the sickness in Al-Madinah. So, the Bedouin went to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ and said: " Return me (that is, cancel) my pledge." But Allah’s Apostle ﷺ refused. Then the Bedouin left and came back and said: " Return me (that is, cancel) my pledge" and he refused so the Bedouin left. Then Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "Al-Madinah is but like bellows, it drives away its filth and purifies its good."


Narrated from Saeed bin Al-Musayyab that Abu Hurairah (RA) used to say: "If I saw hyenas roaming in Al-Madinah, I would not advance upon them. Indeed, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'Whatever is between its two lava tracts is Haram (sacred).'"


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that (mount) Uhud appeared to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ so he said: "This mountain loves us, and we love it. O Allah! Indeed, Ibrahim (AS) made Makkah sacred, and I make sacred whatever is between its (i.e., Al-Madinah) two lava tracts."


Narrated from Jarir bin Abdullah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah has revealed to me that: Whichever of these three places you go to will be the place of your emigration: Al-Madinah, Bahrain, or Qinnasrin (a place in Syria)."


Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "No one endures with patience the difficulties and hardships of Al-Madinah, except that I will be an intercessor, or a witness for him on the Day of Judgement."

Chapter No: 68

Abdullah bin Adi bin Hamra Az-Zuhri (RA) said: "I saw Allah’s Apostle ﷺ standing at Al-Hazwarah, and he said: "By Allah! You are the best of Allah's earth, and the most beloved of Allah's earth to Allah, and if it were not that I was driven away from you I would not have left."


Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said about Makkah: "How sweet of a land you are and how dear you are to me, and if it were not that my people expelled me from you, I would not have lived in other than you."

Chapter No: 69

Salman (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to me: 'O Salman! Do not hate me and lest you leave your religion.' I said: 'O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! How could I hate you while Allah guided us by you.' He said: 'You will hate the Arabs and thereby hate me.'"


Narrated from Uthman bin Affan (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: " He who betrays the Arabs, will not be included in my intercession, and my love shall not reach him."


Narrated from Muhammad bin Abi Razin that his mother said: "If someone died from the Arabs Umm Al-Harir became very grieved, so it was said to her: ' We observe that you are much grieved when anyone of the Arabs dies ' She said: 'I heard my Mawla say that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "From the (signs of) coming of the Hour is the destruction of the Arabs." Muhammad bin Abi Razin said: "And her Mawla was Talhah bin Malik."


Narrated from Umm Sharik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The people will flee from the Dajjal such that they will go to the mountains." Umm Sharik said: "O Apostle of Allah! Where will the Arabs be that day?" He said: "They will be few."


Narrated from Samurah bin Jundab (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "Sam was the father of Arabs, Yafith was the father of Romans, and Ham was the father of Ethiopians."

Chapter No: 70

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "Al-'Ajam (non-Arabs) were mentioned before the Apostle of Allah ﷺ so the Prophet ﷺ said: ' Indeed, they or some of them are more supportive in my sight than you or some of you.'"


Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "We were in the company of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ when Surat Al-Jumu'ah was revealed, so he recited it until he came to the words: ' And (also for) others of them who have not yet joined them (62:3).' A man asked him: 'O Apostle of Allah! ﷺ Who are these people who have not yet joined us?' But he did not say anything to him." He said: "Salman Al-Farisi (RA) was among us." He said: "So Allah’s Apostle ﷺ placed his hand upon Salman (RA) and said: 'By the One Whose Hand is my soul! If faith were on Pleiades, then men among these people would fetch it.'"
