Chapter No: 41

Jarir bin Abdullah (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ never screened me since I embraced Islam, nor did he look at me except that he smiled."


Jarir (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ never deprived me (of his grants) since I embraced Islam, nor did he look at me except that he smiled."

Chapter No: 42

Abu Jahdam narrated from Ibn Abbas that he saw Jibra'il (AS), twice and the Prophet ﷺ supplicated for him twice.


Ibn Abbas (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ supplicated for me that Allah bestow me Al-Hikmah (wisdom) twice."


Ibn Abbas (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ pulled me close to him and said: 'O Allah, teach him Al-Hikmah (wisdom)."

Chapter No: 43

Ibn Umar (RA) said: "I had a dream in which I saw as if there was a piece of silk in my hand, and I would not gesture to any place in Paradise except that it would fly with me, (taking me) to it. So, I told the dream to Hafsah (RA), so she told it to the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: 'Indeed, your brother is a righteous man,' or 'Indeed, Abdullah is a righteous man.'"

Chapter No: 44

Narrated from Aishah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ saw a lamp in the house of Az-Zubair (RA), so he said: "O Aishah (RA), I do not see Asma (RA) but that a child is born to her. Do not name him till I give him a name." So, he named him Abdullah, and he performed Tahnik with a date that was in his hand (he chewed a date and rubbed the moistened date on the child’s palate).

Chapter No: 45

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: " Allah Apostle ﷺ passed by, so my mother, Umm Sulaim (RA), heard his voice and said: 'May my father and mother be ransomed for you, O Apostle of Allah ﷺ. This is Unais.' So, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ supplicated for me with three supplications, and I have found two of them (answered) in this world and I hope for the third in the Hereafter."


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said to him: "O possessor of two ears!" (One of the narrators) Abu Usamah said: 'He only meant it as a joke.'


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Umm Sulaim (RA) said: "O Apostle of Allah ﷺ, Anas bin Malik (RA) is your servant, supplicate to Allah for him." He said: "O Allah, increase his wealth and his children, and bless him in what You have given him."


Anas (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ gave me my Kunyah because of a vegetable that he saw me plucking."


Thabit Al-Bunani said: "Anas bin Malik (RA) said to me: 'O Thabit, take from me, for indeed you shall not take from one more trustworthy than me. Verily, I took it from the Apostle of Allah ﷺ, and the Apostle of Allah ﷺ took it from Jibril (AS), and Jibril (AS) took it from Allah the Mighty and Sublime.'"


Narrated Thabit from Anas, similar to the previous narration of Ibrahim bin Ya'qub, and he did not mention in it: "And the Prophet ﷺ took it from Jibril (AS)."


Abu Khaldah said: "I said to Abu Al-'Aliyah: '(Did) Anas (RA) heard from the Prophet ﷺ?' He said: 'He served him for ten years, and the Prophet ﷺ supplicated for him, and he used to have a garden that would bear fruit twice in the year, and there used to be sweet basil in it, from which could be found the smell of musk.'"

Chapter No: 46

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "I came to the Prophet ﷺ and stretched out my cloak before him, then he took it and rolled it up to my heart, so I did not forget after that [any Hadith]."


Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "I said: 'O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! I hear things from you but I do not retain them (in my memory).' He said: 'Spread your cloak.' So, I spread it, then he narrated many Ahadith, and I did not forget anything that he narrated to me.'"


Ibn Umar (RA) said to Abu Hurairah (RA): "You used to stick to the things of Allah ﷺ more than any of us, and you used to memorize his Ahadith better than any of us."


Malik bin Abi 'Amir said: "A man came to Talha bin Obaidullah (RA) and said: 'O Abu Muhammad, do you see this Yemeni - meaning: Abu Hurairah - is he more knowledgeable of Ahadith of the Apostle of Allah ﷺ than you? We hear from him what we do not hear from you, or does he attribute to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ what he did not say?' He said: 'As for his having heard from the Apostle of Allah ﷺ what we did not hear from him, then that is because he was poor, having nothing. He was the guest of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ, his hand was in the hand of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ. While we were the people of families and wealth, and we would come to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ at the two ends of the day. I do not doubt that he heard from Allah’s Apostle ﷺ what we did not hear, and you will not find anyone in whom there is good ascribe those words to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ what he did not say.'"


Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "The Prophet ﷺ said to me: ' To what (tribe) do you belong?' I said: 'From Daws.' He said: ' I had thought that there was none among Daws with any good in him.'"


Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "I came to the Prophet ﷺ with some dates and requested: 'O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! supplicate to Allah to bless them.' So, he took them and supplicated for me for blessing in them, and then said to me: 'Take them and put them in this bag of yours - or this bag - and Whenever you wish take any (date) from it put your hand into it. Take it out but do not dust it out.’ Indeed, I have carried many baskets full of this date given away in Allah’s path, we ate from it ourselves and fed other people. And it has never been put away from my back till the day when Uthman (RA) was killed it dropped (somewhere and was lost)."


Abdullah bin Rafi said: "I said to Abu Hurairah (RA): 'Why were you given the Kunyah Abu Hurairah?' He said: 'Are you not afraid of me?'" He said: " By Allah, I fear you.' He said: 'I used to graze the sheep of my people, and I had a small kitten; so I would put it up on a tree at night, and during the day I would take it and play with it. Thus, people gave me the kunyah Abu Hurairah.'"


Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "There is none having more Ahadith of the Apostle of Allah ﷺ than I, except for Abdullah bin Amr (RA), because he would write, (the Ahadith) and I did not write."

Chapter No: 47

Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Umairah - one of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah ﷺ narrated from the Prophet ﷺ, that he said to Mu'awiyah (RA): "O Allah, make him a guiding one, and guide (others) by him."


Abu Idris Al-Khawlani said: "When Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) removed Umair bin Sa'd as governor of Hims, he appointed Mu'awiyah (RA). The people said: 'He has removed Umair and appointed Mu'awiyah.' So Umair said: 'Do not mention Mu'awiyah except with good, for indeed, I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ saying: "O Allah guide (others) by him."

Chapter No: 48

Narrated from Uqbah bin Amir that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The people embraced Islam and Amr bin Al As believed."


Talha bin Obaidullah said: "I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ saying: 'Indeed, Amr bin Al-As (RA) is from among the righteous men of the Quraish.'"

Chapter No: 49

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "We halted at a place in the company of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ, and the people began passing by. Allah’s Apostle ﷺ would ask: 'Who is this, O Abu Hurairah?' So, I would say: 'So-and-so.' So, he would say: 'What an excellent slave of Allah this is.' And he would ask: 'Who is this?' So, I would say: 'So-and-so.' So, he would say: 'What a bad slave of Allah this is.' Until Khalid bin Al-Walid (RA) passed, so he said: 'Who is this?' So, I said: 'This is Khalid bin Al-Walid.' He said: 'What an excellent slave of Allah is Khalid bin Al-Walid, a sword from among the swords of Allah.'"

Chapter No: 50

Al-Bara (RA) said: "Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was gifted a silk garment, so they began to marvel at its softness, so Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'Do you marvel at this? Indeed, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Muadh (RA) in Paradise are better than this.'"


Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) said: "I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ, saying while the funeral of Sa'd bin Muadh was in front of them: 'The Throne of Ar-Rahman shook due to it.'"


Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "When the funeral of Sa'd bin Muadh was carried, the hypocrites said: 'How light his funeral is.' And this was due to his judgment concerning Banu Quraizah. So, this reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'Indeed, the angels were carrying him.'"
