Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah said: "Al-Abbas (RA) came to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ and it was as if he heard something, so the Prophet ﷺstood upon the pulpit and asked: 'Who am I?' They said: 'You are the Messenger of Allah, upon you be peace.' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He placed me in the best [group] of them, then He divided them into two groups, so He placed me in the best group of them, then He divided them into tribes, so He placed me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He placed me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'"

At-Tufail bin Ubayy bin Ka'b narrated from his father that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "The parable of me and the Prophets is that of a man who built a house, and he built it well, completed it, and adorned it, but he left a space for one brick. So, the people began going around the house amazed at it, saying " Would that this space of brick was filled up!' And I am, with regards to the Prophets, in the position of that brick." And with this chain, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "Upon the Day of Judgement I will be the leader of the Prophets and their spokesman, and the bearer of their intercession, without boasting."

Narrated from Abdullah bin Amr (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "If you hear the Muadh-dhin then respond as he says. Then invoke blessings (send Salah) upon me, because whoever sends Salah upon me, Allah will send Salah upon him ten times due to it. Then ask Allah that He gives me Al-Wasilah, because it is a place in Paradise which is not for anyone except for a slave from the slaves of Allah, and I hope that I am the one. And whoever asks that I have Al-Wasilah, then (my) intercession will become lawful for him."

Narrated from Abu Saeed (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "I will be the master of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting. Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that a group of people among the Companions of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ sat waiting for him. He said: "Then he came out, such that when he came close to them, he heard them talking, and he heard what they were saying. So, some of them said: 'It's amazing that Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has taken a Khalil (close friend) from His creation. He took Ibrahim (AS) as a Khalil.' And some of them said: 'That is not more amazing than speaking to Musa (AS), He spoke to him with real speech.' And some said: 'And Eisa (AS) is the word of Allah and His Spirit.' And some said: 'Adam was chosen by Allah.' So, he ﷺ came out upon them and offered his Salam, and said: 'I have heard your words, and your amazement that Ibrahim (AS) is the Khalil of Allah, and he is such, and that Musa (AS) is the one spoken to by Allah, and he is such, and that Eisa (AS) is the spirit of Allah and His Word, and he is such, and that Adam was chosen by Allah, and he is such. Indeed, I am the beloved of Allah, and I am not boasting, and I am the carrier of the Banner of Praise on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting. And I am the first intercessor, and the first to have intercession accepted from him on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting. And I am the first to knock the rings of Paradise (meaning on the gates of Paradise) and so Allah will open it for me and enter me into it. And with me will be the poor people from the believers, and I am not boasting. And I am the most noble among the first ones and the last ones, and I am not boasting."

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "On the day in which Allah’s Apostle ﷺ arrived in Al-Madinah, everything in it was illuminated. Then, on the day in which he died, everything in it was dark. And we had barely dusted off our hands after burying Allah’s Apostle ﷺ when our hearts changed."

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (RA) said: "Abu Talib set forth for Ash-Sham, and the Prophet ﷺ left with him, along with some older men from the Quraish. When they came across the monk they stopped there and began setting up their camp, and the monk came out to them. Before that they used to pass by him, and he wouldn't come out nor pay attention to them." He said: "They were setting up their camp when the monk was walking amidst them, until he came and took the hand of the Apostle of Allah ﷺ. Then he said: He is the chief of the universe. He is the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds. Allah has sent him as mercy to the worlds.' So, some of the older people from the Quraish asked: 'What do you know?' He said: While you were coming down the hillock, none of the stones and trees missed prostrating before him, and these two (objects) do not prostrate but to a Prophet. And I recognise him by the seal of prophethood on the upper bone on his shoulder, firm like an apple.' Then he went back, and prepared a meal for them, and when he brought it to them, he [the Prophet (ﷺ)] was tending to the camels. So, he said: 'Send for him.' So, he came, and there was a cloud over him that was shading him. When he came close to the people, he found that they had beaten him to the tree's shade. So, when he sat down, the shade of the tree leaned towards him. He (the monk) said: 'Look at the shade of the tree leaning towards him.'" He said: "So while he was standing over them, telling them not to take him to Rome with him - because if the Romans were to see him, they would recognize him by his description, and they would kill him - he turned, and there were seven people who had come from Rome. So, he faced them and said: 'Why have you come?' They said: 'We came because this Prophet is going to appear during this month, and there isn't a road left except that people have been sent to it, and we have been informed of him, and we have been sent to this road of yours.' So, he said: 'Is there anyone better than you, behind you?' They said: 'We only have news of him from this road of yours.' He said: 'Do you think that if there is a matter which Allah wishes to bring about, there is anyone among the people who can turn it away?' They said: 'No.'" He said: "So they gave him their pledge, and they stayed with him. And he said: 'I ask you by Allah, which of you is his guardian?' They said: 'Abu Talib.' So, he kept adjuring him until Abu Talib returned him (back to Makkah) and he sent Abu Bakr and Bilal with him. And the monk gave him provisions of Ka'k (a type of bread) and olive oil."

Narrated Anas bin Malik (RA) that Abu Talha (RA) said to Umm Sulaim: “I heard the voice of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ and it was weak. I know that it is from hunger. Do you have anything? She said: 'Yes.' So, she brought some loaves of barley bread. Then she took out her scarf and wrapped the bread in some of it and put it in my hand and covered my head with the rest of it (the scarf). She sent me to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ. He said: So, I went to him with it and found him sitting in the mosque with some men. So, I stood among them, and Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'Has Abu Talha sent you?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'With food?' I said: 'Yes.' So, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to those around him: 'Stand up.'" So, they left, and I left in front of them, until I came to Abu Talha, and I told him (that they were coming). Abu Talha said: 'O Umm Sulaim! Allah’s Apostle ﷺ is coming with people, and we don't have anything to feed them.' Umm Sulaim said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'" He said: "So Abu Talha departed until he met up with the Apostle of Allah ﷺ. Allah’s Apostle ﷺ came, while Abu Talha was with him, until they entered, when Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'O Umm Sulaim! Bring here whatever you have?' So, she brought him that bread, and he ﷺ commanded her that the bread should be crushed and poured some butter from an oil-skin upon them, then Allah’s Apostle ﷺ recited whatever Allah willed for him to recite over it. Then he said: 'Let ten come.' So, ten were admitted, and they ate until they were full, and then they left. Then he said: 'Let ten come.' So, ten were admitted, and they ate until they were full, and they left. Then he said: 'Let ten come.' So, ten were admitted, and they ate until they were full, and there were seventy or eighty men."

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "I saw Allah’s Apostle ﷺ at the time when the Asr prayer approached near, and the people were searching water for Wudu, but they did not find any. So, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was brought some water for Wudu, and Allah’s Apostle ﷺ placed his hand in the vessel and commanded the people to make Wudu from it." He said: "So I saw water springing out from under his fingers. The people made Wudu until the last of them made Wudu."

Aishah (RA) said: " In the beginning of prophethood when Allah intended to make clear to the people His wonders and mercies, he ﷺ saw dreams that came true like the bright gleam of dawn. This continued as long as Allah willed. Solitude was dear to him, and nothing was dearer to him than being alone."

Abdullah (RA) said: "You consider the signs (of nature) to be punishment, whereas we used to think of them as a blessing during the time of t Allah’s Apostle ﷺ. We used to eat food with the Prophet ﷺ, and we would hear the tasbih of the food." He said: "And the Prophet ﷺ was brought a vessel, so he put his hand it in, and the water began to spring from between his fingers. So, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Hasten to the blessed Wudu and the blessing from the heavens' until all of had performed Wudu."

Narrated from Aishah (RA) that Al-Harith bin Hisham (RA) asked the Prophet ﷺ: 'How does the Revelation come to you?' Allah’s Apostle ﷺ replied: 'Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of a bell and that is the hardest upon me, and sometimes the angel will appear to me like a man, and he will speak to me such that I understand what he says.'" 'Aishah (RA) said: "I saw the Apostle of Allah ﷺ while the Revelation was descending upon him on an extremely cold day. Then it ceased and his forehead was flooded with sweat."

Abu Ishaq said: "A man asked Al-Bara (RA): 'Was the face of the Apostle of Allah ﷺ like a sword?' He said: 'No, like the moon.'"

Ali (RA) said: "The Prophet ﷺ was not tall nor was he short, his hands and feet were thick, he had a large head and large joints, he had a long Masrubah (the line of hair from the chest to the navel), and whenever he walked, he leaned forward as if he was going down a decline. I did not see anyone like him before him or afterwards."

Ibrahim bin Muhammad, one of the offspring of Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) said: "When Ali (RA) would describe the Prophet ﷺ he would say: 'He was not extremely tall nor was he extremely short, and he was of medium height in comparison to the people. The wave of his hair was not completely curly, nor straight, but it was in between. He did not have a large head, nor a small head, his face was round and a blended-white colour, his eyes were dark black, his eye-lashes were long. He was big-boned and broad shouldered, his body hair was well-placed, and he had a Masrubah, his hands and feet were thick. When he walked, he walked briskly, he leaned forward as if he was walking on a decline. And if he turned his head, his body turned as well, between his two shoulders was the seal of Prophethood, and he was the seal of the Prophets. He was the most generous of people [in hand, and the most big-hearted of them] in breast. He was the most truthful of people in speech, the softest of them in nature, and the most noble of them in his relations. Whoever saw him for the first time would fear him, and whoever got to know him, loved him. The one who tried to describe him would have to say: 'I have not seen before him or after him anyone who resembles him ﷺ.'"
