Chapter No: 31

Narrated from Abu Umamah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: " Neither buy singing girls nor sell them. Do not teach them (to sing). And, there is no good in the business on them. Their price is forbidden. It is about this that the verse was revealed: And of mankind is he who buys frivolous discourse to lead astray (others) from Allah’s way (31:6)."

Chapter No: 32

Anas bin Malik (RA) said regarding this Ayah: Their sides forsake their beds (32:16) - "It was revealed concerning the wait for the salah called (al-atmah)."

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah Most High said: ' I have prepared for My righteous slaves what eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and hearts of human beings not perceived. Confirmation of that is found in Allah’s Book: No soul knows what delight of the eyes is kept hidden from them, as a recompense for what they used to do (32:17).

Ash-Sha'bi said: "While he was on the pulpit, I heard Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (RA) saying - and he traced it to the Prophet ﷺ - 'Indeed Musa (AS) asked his Lord: "O Lord! Who is the lowest in rank among the people of Paradise?" He said: " A man who will come after its inhabitants have entered Paradise. It will be said to him, ‘Enter.’ He will ask, ‘How do I enter Paradise when its houses have been occupied and all that was available has been taken over.’ He will be asked, ‘Would you be pleased on having what was owned by a king of the world's kings?’ He will assert, ‘Yes, O Lord! I am pleased.’ So, he will be told, for you is this, the like of that, the like of that and the like of that. He will affirm, ‘I am pleased, O Lord.’ And it will be said to him, for you is this and ten times the like of it.’ So, he will profess, ‘I am pleased O Allah, O My Lord!’ Then it will be said to him, ‘And for you with (all this) is what your heart desires and what pleases your eyes.'"

Chapter No: 33

Narrated from Qabus bin Abi Zabyan that his father narrated to him, he said: 'We asked Ibn Abbas (RA): "What is the meaning of the saying of Allah the Mighty and Sublime: Allah has not assigned to any man two hearts within his body.? (33:4)" He said: "One day Allah’s Prophet ﷺ stood for Salah, then he was unsure (regarding how much he had prayed). The hypocrites who prayed with him said: 'Don't you see that he has two hearts, a heart with you and another with them?' So, Allah revealed: ‘Allah has not assigned to any man two hearts within his body.'"

Anas (RA) said: "My paternal uncle Anas bin An-Nadr (RA) - after whom I was named - did not participate in the battle of Badr with the Apostle of Allah ﷺ. This weighed heavily on him, and he said: 'I absented from the first battle attended by the Apostle of Allah ﷺ. By Allah! If Allah will give me another chance to participate in next battle along with the Apostle of Allah ﷺ, then Allah will see what I will do!'" He said: "He was afraid to say more than that. A year later, he attended the battle of Uhud, where he saw Sa'd bin Mu'adh (RA) who asked: 'O Abu 'Amr where are you going?' He said: ' How wonderful! I perceive the fragrance of Paradise near the mountains of Uhud.' He fought them until he was killed and on his body something over eighty wounds were counted from blunt strike, spears, and arrows. My paternal aunt Ar-Ruba'i bin An-Nadr said: 'I could not recognize my brother except by his fingertips.' And this Ayah was revealed: ' Men who are true to the covenant they made with Allah: so, of them is he who fulfilled his vow ‘by (martyrdom) and of them is he who waits, and they have not altered in the least (33:23).'"

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "My paternal uncle was absent from the fighting of Badr, so he said: 'I absented from the first fight the Apostle of Allah ﷺ fought with idolaters, so if Allah causes me to participate in a fight with the idolaters, then Allah will see what I will do!' So, on the Day of Uhud, when the Muslims were driven back, he said: 'O Allah! Indeed, I am innocent before you of what these people - meaning the idolaters - have done, and I beg of You to excuse these people for what they have done - meaning the Companions. Then he went forward and met up with Sa'd (RA). He said: 'O my brother! Whatever you do, I am with you!' But he was not able to do the same as him. He was found with more than eighty wounds, between blows with the sword, thrusts of a spear, or arrow wounds. We would say: 'It was about him and his companions that (the following) was revealed: ' Men who are true to the covenant they made with Allah: so, of them is he who fulfilled his vow ‘by (martyrdom) and of them is he who waits, and they have not altered in the least (33:23). (One of the narrators) Yazid said: "Meaning this Ayah."

Musa bin Talhah said: "I entered upon Mu'awiyah (RA) and he said:' Shall I not give you some good news?' I said: 'Of course!' He said: 'I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ saying: 'Talhah is among those who fulfilled their vow.'"

Musa and 'Eisa, the sons of Talhah (RA) narrated from their father that the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ requested to an ignorant Bedouin man: 'Ask him who has fulfilled his vow.' They were not in the habit of asking questions out of their respect and reverence for him. So, the Bedouin asked him, but he turned away from him. Then he asked him again, but he turned away from him. Then again, he asked him, but he turned away from him. Then I stood looking from the door of the Masjid, while I was wearing a green garment, and I saw the Prophet ﷺ, he said: 'Where is the one who was asking about the one who fulfilled his vow?' The Bedouin said: 'Here I am O Apostle of Allah!' Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'This is he who has fulfilled his vow.'"

Aishah (RA) said: "When Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was commanded to give choice to his wives, he started with me. He said: 'O 'Aishah! I am going to mention something to you, but you should not hasten (to answer) until you have sought advice from your parents.'" She said: "and he knew that my parents would never order me to separate from him.'" She said: "Then Allah [Most High] revealed: ' O Prophet, say to you wives, “If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, come! I will provide for your comfort and allow you to depart by a fair departing. But if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the abode of the Hereafter then surely Allah has repaired for the good doers among you a mighty reward (33:28 & 29).' I said: 'For what should I take advice from my parents? Indeed, I want Allah, His Messenger, and the abode of the Hereafter.' The (remaining) wives of the Prophet ﷺ did the same as I did."

Umar bin Abi Salamah (RA)- the step-son of the Prophet ﷺ said: "When these Ayat were revealed to the Prophet ﷺ: ‘Allah only desires to take away from you all Abomination, O people of the household (of Muhammad), and to purify you with a thorough purifying (33:33)' in the house of Umm Salamah (RA), he called for Fatimah (RA), Hasan (RA), Husain (RA) and wrapped all of them in the cloak, and 'Ali (RA) was behind him, so he wrapped him in the cloak, then he said: 'O Allah! These are the people of my house, so remove from them abomination and purify them with a thorough purifying.' So Umm Salamah (RA) said: 'And I, Prophet of Allah?' He said: 'You are in your place (meaning you are already a member of my household), and you are goodness.'"

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "For six months, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ would pass by the door of Fatimah (RA) when going to the Fajr prayer saying: 'As-Salah O People of the house! Allah only desires to take away from you all abomination, O people of the household (of Muhammad), and to purify you with a thorough purifying (33:33).'"

Aishah (RA) said: "If Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was to conceal anything which was revealed to him, then he would have concealed these Ayat: ' And (recall) when you (O Prophet) said to him (Zayd ibn Harithah) whom Allah has blessed (with Islam) and to whom you had shown favour (with freedom), “Keep you wife to yourself and fear Allah, and while you were concealing in your mind that which Allah was going to disclose, and you were fearing mankind, whereas Allah has a better right for you to fear Him. So when Zayd (RA) had his want fulfilled of her, we joined her in marriage to you, in order that there should be no blame for the believers in marrying the wives of their adopted sons who have had their want fulfilled of them. And Allah’s commandment is ever performed (33:37).' They said: 'He married his son’s wife, so Allah revealed: ' Muhammad is not the father of anyone of you men, but he is the Messenger of Allah, and the last of the Prophets (33:40).' Allah’s Apostle ﷺ had taken (adopted) him as a son when he was young child, and he remained being called 'Zaid bin Muhammad' until he grew up to adulthood, then Allah revealed: ' Assert their relationship to their fathers; this is more equitable with Allah; but if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends;" (33:5). Thus (Say) So-and-so, the Mawla (friend) of so-and-so, and So-and-so, the brother of so-and-so. 'That is more equitable in the sight of Allah' meaning that doing that is fairer in the sight of Allah."

Aishah (RA) said: "If the Prophet ﷺ was to conceal anything from the Revelation, then he would have concealed this Ayah: 'When you said to him on whom Allah has bestowed grace and you have done a favor (33:37).'"

Ibn Umar (RA) said: "We used to call Zaid bin Harithah (RA) nothing but 'Zaid bin Muhammad' until the Qur'an was revealed (saying): ' Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is more equitable in the sight of Allah (33:5).'"

Dawud bin Abi Hind narrated from Ash-Sha'bi regarding the saying of Allah [the Mighty and Sublime]: 'Muhammad ﷺ is not the father of any one of your men (33:40)' he said: "No male children of his would srvive among them."

Umm 'Umarah Al-Ansariyyah (RA) came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "I do not see but that everything is about men (in Qur’an), and I do not see anything being mentioned for the women." So, this Ayah was revealed: 'Indeed the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women... (33:35)'

Anas (RA) said: "This Ayah: 'But you did hide in yourself that which Allah will make manifest... (33:37)' was revealed about Zainab bint Jahsh (RA). Zaid (RA)had come to the Prophet ﷺ complaining, and he wanted to divorce her, so he consulted with the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Keep your wife to yourself and have Taqwa of Allah (33:37).'"

Anas (RA) said: "This Ayah was revealed concerning Zainab bint Jahsh (RA): 'So when Zaid (RA) had completed his aim with her, we joined her in marriage to you (33:37)' - he said: "She boasted before the other wives of the Prophetﷺ: ' You were given in marriage by your family but I was given in marriage by Allah from above the seven heavens.'"

Umm Hani bint Abu Talib (RA) said: " Allah’s Messenger ﷺ proposed to me, but I asked him to excuse me. Then Allah [Most High] revealed: ' We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have paid their dowers, and those whom your right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to you; and daughters of your paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of your maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makkah) with you, and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet... (33:50)' She said: " I was not lawful to him because I had not migrated. I was among those who had embraced Islam after the conquest of Makkah.'"

Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that all types of women were disallowed for Allah’s Apostle ﷺ except for the believing women among those who emigrated. (Allah) said: 'I It is not lawful for you (to marry more) women after this, nor to change them for (other) wives, even though their beauty attracts you, except any your right hand should possess (33:52). - And Allah made your believing girls lawful 'And a believing woman if she offers herself to the Prophet (33:50)' and He made every woman of a religion other than Islam unlawful." Then He said: " If anyone rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter. He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (5:5)." And he said: " We have made lawful to you, your wives to whom you have paid their dowers, and those whom your right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to you; and daughters of your paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of your maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makkah) with you and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her-this only for you and not for the Believers (at large) (33:50)." He made the other types of women unlawful."

Aishah (RA): " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ did not die until the women had been made lawful for him."

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "I was with the Prophet ﷺ, and he came to the door of a woman with whom he had consummated marriage, and some people were with her. So, he left to fulfill his need, and was prevented (from her). Then he came back, and some people were still with her. Then he left to fulfill his need and came back, and they had gone." He said: "So, I mentioned that to Abu Talhah, and he said: 'If it is as you say, something shall surely be revealed concerning this,' and the Verse of Hijab was revealed.

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: “Allah’s Apostle married and went to his wife. My mother prepared Hays and poured it in a bowl of stone and said, ‘O Anas, go with this to the Prophet ﷺ and tell him, “My mother has sent me to you with this and she has conveyed Salaam to you. She says that we have sent very little to you.”’ So, I went to him and said, ‘My mother offers to you her Salaam and says that this is from us, a little.’ He said, ‘Put it down.’ Then he said: 'Go and invite so-and-so, so-and-so, and so-and-so for me, and whomever you meet.' He named some people, So, I invited whoever he had named and whoever I met. The sub narrator said that he asked him how many they were, and he said that they were around three hundred men. The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "O Anas, give me the vessel.” (Meanwhile,) they came in, till the courtyard and the room was full. He instructed them that they should sit ten each in a circle, and everyone should eat from what was before him. They ate till they were satiated. A batch went out and another entered till all of them had eaten. Then he said, "O Anas, pick up the vessel.” So, I took it up and I could not determine if it was more than I had brought (or lesser). A group of them (the invitees) sat down chatting in the house of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ who was also sitting, and his wife sat facing the wall. This was unbearable by Allah’s Apostle ﷺ. So, he went out to his wives, greeted them, and returned. When they saw Allah’s Apostle ﷺreturn, they imagined that it was unbearable to him, so they took to the door and went out, all of them. And Allah’s Apostle ﷺ came, drew the curtain, and entered. I was sitting there in the room. Not much time had passed when he came to me and these verses were revealed: O you who believe Enter not the Prophet’s houses until leave is give you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when you are invited, enter! and when you have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that you should annoy Allah’s Apostle, or that you should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah’s sight an enormity. (33: 53)

Anas bin Malik (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was staying with one of his wives, so he sent me to invite people for a meal. When they ate and left, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ stood and went off in the direction of Aishah's (RA) house. He saw two men (still) sitting, so he turned to come back, then the two men stood up to leave. So, Allah [the Mighty and Sublime] revealed: ' O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet’s houses until leave is given you, for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation (33:53)." And there is a long story with the narration.

Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ came to us while we were sitting in a gathering of Sa'd bin Ubadah (RA). Bashir bin Sa'd said: 'Allah has commanded us to invocate Salah upon you, so how do we invocate Salah upon you?'" Allah’s Apostle ﷺ kept quiete, until we wished that he had not asked him. Then Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: 'Say: O Allah! Send Salah upon Muhammad and upon Muhammad's family just as you have sent [upon Ibrahim and] upon Ibrahim's family. And bless Muhammad and Muhammad's family just as you have blessed [Ibrahim and] Ibrahim's family among the nations. Surely, You are Praise worthy, Glorious.' And the Salam is as you have learned.'"

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed Musa, peace be upon him, was a shy and modest man. He kept himself covered, nothing of his body was ever seen because of his modesty. Some of the Children of Isra'il annoyed him by saying: 'He only keeps himself covered because of some defect in his skin, either leprosy, a scrotal hernia or some other defect.' Allah [the Mighty and Sublime] wanted to free Musa (AS) from what they were saying about him. 0ne day, Musa secluded himself all alone and took ff his garments placing them on a stone. Then he had a bath. When he had finished, he approached his clothes that he might take them, but the rock moved away, taking his garment with it. Musa picked up his staff, and chased the rock saying: 'My garment, O you rock! My garment, O you rock!' Until he reached a group of the Children of Isra'il who saw him naked and discovered that he was the best of those whom Allah had created." He said: "The rock stood still, he took his garment and put it on. He started striking the rock with his staff, and by Allah, the marks of that beating were left on the rock; three, four, or five. This is what is referred to in the Ayah: ' O you who believe! Be not like those who annoyed Musa, but Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was honoured in Allah’s sight (33:69).'"

Farwah bin Musaik Al-Muradi (RA) said: "I went to the Prophet ﷺ and asked: 'O Apostle of Allah! ﷺ Shall I not fight those who turn away among my people, along with those who believe? So, he allowed me to fight them and appointed me their chief.' When I left him, he asked about me, saying: 'What has Al-Ghutaifi done?' He was informed that I set off on my journey." He said: "So he sent a message on my route that I should return. I went to him, and he was with a group of his Companions. He said: 'Invite your people. Whoever accepts Islam among them then accept it from him. And whoever does not accept Islam, then do not be hasty until new news reaches you.'" He said: "And what was revealed about Saba was revealed, so a man asked: 'O Apostle of Allah! ﷺ What is Saba; is it a land or a woman?' He said: 'It is neither a land nor a woman, but it is a man who had ten sons among the Arabs. Six of them went south (in Yemen) and four of them went north (toward Ash-Sham). As for those who went north, they are Lakhm, Judham, Ghassan and 'Amilah. As for those who went south, they are Azad, Al-'Ash'ariyyun, Himyar, Kindah, Madhhij, and Anmar.' A man said: 'O Apostle of Allah! Who are Anmar?' He said: 'Those among whom are Khath'am and Bajilah.'" [This Hadith has been related from Ibn Abbas from the Prophet (ﷺ)].

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When Allah decrees a command in the Heavens, the angels beat their wings in submission to His saying, (making a sound as) if it is a chain (being dragged) upon a rock. When the fear goes away from their hearts, they say (to each other): 'What did your Lord say?' They reply: 'The truth, and He is the Most High the Great (34:23).' He said: 'And the Shayatin are one atop another.'"

Ibn Abbas (RA) said: "While Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was sitting with a group of his Companions, a star shot down and there was a bright light (in the sky). Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: ' What would you have said during the Jahiliya if such a thing had happened (then)? ' They said: 'We would have said that a great man died, or that a great man has been born.' Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: ' It does not shoot at the death of anyone or life of one. But when our Lord, blessed is His name and Exalted is He, decrees an affair, He is glorified by the bearers of the Throne. Then He is glorified by the inhabitants who are below them, then those below them, until such glorification reaches this Heaven. Then the inhabitants of the sixth Heaven ask the inhabitants of the seventh Heaven: "What did your Lord say?" He said: 'So they inform them; then the inhabitants of each Heaven seek the information, until the news is conveyed to the inhabitants of the Heavens of the earth. The Satan try to overhear so they are shot at, so they cast it down to their friends. Whatever they came with is true, as it is, but they distort it and add to it.'"

Narrated from Samurah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Sam was the father of Arabs, Ham the father of the Ethiopians, and Yafith the father of the Romans."

Chapter No: 38

Ibn Abbas (RA) said: "Abu Talib fell ill, so the Quraish went to see him, and the Prophet ﷺ also went to see him. There was a gathering there with Abu Talib, so Abu Jahl got up to forbid him and all of them complained to Abu Talib. So, he (Abu Talib) said: 'O my nephew! What do you desire from your people?' He said: 'I only desire one word from them, for which, if they were to say it, then the Arabs will become their followers, and the non-Arabs will pay Jizyah to them.' He said: 'One word?' He replied: 'One word.' So he said: 'O uncle! Let them say La Ilaha Illallah' so they replied: 'One God? We have not heard (the like) of this in the religion of these later days. This is nothing but an invention.'" He said: "So the (following) was revealed in the Qur'an about them: 'Sad. By the Qur'an full of reminding. Those who disbelieve are in false pride and opposition...' up to His saying: 'We have not heard (the like) of this in the religion of these later days. This is nothing but an invention (38:1-7).'"

Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: "During the night, my Lord, Blessed is He, and Most High, came to me in the best of appearances." He (one of the narrators) said - I think he said it was during a dream - "So he said: 'O Muhammad! Do you know in what the most exalted group busy themselves with?'" He said: "I said: 'No.'" He said: "So He placed His Hand between my shoulders, until I sensed its coolness between my breast." - or he said: "on my throat, so I knew what was in the heavens, and what was in the earth. He said: 'O Muhammad! Do you know in what the most exalted group busy themselves with?' I said: 'Yes, in the acts that expiate: and the acts that expiate are; lingering in the Masjid after the Salah, walking on the feet to the congregation, perfection of Wudu, in difficulty, and whoever does that, he lives in goodness and dies upon goodness, and his wrongs shall be like that of the day his mother bore him.' He said: 'O Muhammad! When you have offered Salah then say: 'O Allah! Indeed, I ask of You, the doing of good deeds, avoiding the evil deeds, and loving the poor. And when you have willed Fitnah for your slave, then take me to You, without making me suffer from Fitnah.'" He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said: "And the acts that raise ranks are spreading the Salam, feeding others, and Salat during the night, while the people are sleeping."

Narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "My Lord, Blessed is He and Most High, came to me in the best of appearances. So he said: 'O Muhammad!' I said: 'Here I am O my Lord! And I am at Your service.' He said: 'What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?' I said: '[Lord] I do not know.' So, He placed His Hand between my shoulders, until I sensed its coolness between my breast, so I knew what was in between the east and the west. He said: 'O Muhammad!' I said: 'Here I am O my Lord! And I am at Your service.' He said: 'What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?' I said: 'In the acts that raise ranks and the acts that expiate, and in recording the footsteps to the congregation, perfecting the Wudu in difficulties, and awaiting the Salah after the Salah. And whoever preserves them, he shall live in goodness and die upon goodness, and his sins shall be like that on the day upon which his mother bore him.'"

Mu'adh bin Jabal (RA) said: " One morning, Allah’s Apostle was held back from us from the salah of Fajr till we nearly saw the sun peeping out. He came out quickly, the Iqamah was called for the Salah and Allah’s Apostle ﷺ led the Salah. He made it brief. When he had finished, he called out to us in a loud voice, saying, “In your rows as you were.” Then he turned to us and said: Indeed, I will tell you now what held me back from you this morning. I got up during the night, made ablution and offered Salah as much as I could: but, during the course of it, I dozed and was overcome by sleep. Suddenly, I saw my Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted in the best of forms. He said: 'O Muhammad!' I said: 'My Lord here I am my Lord!' He said: 'What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?' I said: 'I do not know Lord.' And He said it three times." He said: "So I saw Him place His Palm between my shoulders, and I sensed the coolness of His Fingertips between my breast. Then everything was disclosed for me, and I became aware. So, He said: 'O Muhammad!' I said: 'Here I am my Lord!' He said: 'What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?' I said: 'In the acts that atone.' He said: 'And what are they?' I said: 'The footsteps to the congregation, the gatherings in the Masajid after the Salah, making the Wudu during difficulties.' He said: 'Then what else?' I said: 'Feeding others, being lenient in speech, and offering Salah during the night while the people are sleeping.' He said: 'Ask.' I said: 'O Allah! I ask of you the doing of the good deeds, avoiding the evil deeds, loving the poor, and that You forgive me, and have mercy upon me. And when You have willed Fitnah in the people, then take me without the Fitnah. And I ask You for Your love, the love of whomever You love, and the love of the deeds that bring one nearer to Your love.'" The Apostle of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed it is true, so study it and learn it."

Chapter No: 39

Abdullah bin Az-Zubair (RA) narrated from his father who said: "When (the following) was revealed: ' Then surely on the Day of Resurrection, before you Lord, you shall contend with each other (39:31).' Az-Zubair said "O Messenger of Allah! We will repeat our disputes after what happened between us in the world?" He said: "Yes." So, he said: " Indeed, the matter will be severe then."

Asma bint Yazid (RA) said: "I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ reciting: 'Say: " O My servants who have been prodigal against themselves, despair not of Allah’s mercy. Surely Allah forgives sins altogether (referring to 39:53)." And He does not care.”

Abdullah (RA) said: "A Jew came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Muhammad! Indeed, Allah will carry the heavens upon a finger, the mountains upon a finger, the earths upon a finger, and the rest of creation upon a finger. Then He would say: 'I am the King.'" He (narrator) said: 'So Allah’s Apostle ﷺ smiled until his molars were visible. He said: " And they esteem not Allah with the true esteem (39:67)."

Abdullah (RA) said: "So the Prophet ﷺ smiled in amazement and approval."

Ibn Abbas (RA) said: "A Jew passed by the Prophet ﷺ, so the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O you Jew! Narrate something to us.'
